1934 Buck Rogers Rocket Ship Model Instructions (Full Color)

1934 Buck Rogers Rocket Ship Model Instructions (Full Color)

This double-sided beautifully illustrated set of full color instructions came folded and inserted into one of six different balsa wood models. Drawn by the strips creator Dick Calkins and issued by the John F. Dille Company.

This is an original document, not a reproduction.

The full color front shows all six ships rocketing through the cloudy blue sky. A short description of each type was included. The other side was printed with complex schematics and text for creating the ships from a single block of balsa wood. The block and instructions would have been packed and folded into a 7⅛” long box.

The sets were available through stores, or as newspaper premiums. Sears sold number 1, 3, and 4. #4 was also available as a Cream of Wheat premium. Models of the actual ships could have been seen at the 1934 Chicago World’s Fair.

Size: 11” x 17”.
